TRENCH

Estamos asistiendo a uno de los otoños más calurosos de los últimos años.

Los abrigos siguen colgados esperando una oportunidad que este año parece no llegar y mientras lo ideal es EL TRENCH, esa prenda atemporal que nunca pasa de moda, que se reinventa cada temporada manteniendo su esencia clásica.

Fue un invento de Thomas Burberry, creador de la firma británica allá por el s. XIX. Creó una tela de hilos tan tupida capaz de resistir el paso de la lluvia además de ser cómoda y flexible. Tuvo tanto éxito que fue el abrigo oficial que usaban los oficiales en la guerra, de ahí el nombre de trench coat o abrigo de trinchera.

Y de la trinchera al glamour de Hollywood, ¿recordais la frase «siempre nos quedará París»? Casablanca nos dejaba esa bonita despedida de sus protagonistas cubiertos con un trench.

La primera dama más glamourosa de la historia de EE.UU, Jackie Kenedy, tampoco renunció a esa prenda.

Y yo pues también la llevo. En crudo o negro, no es Burberry, mi trench es de mango y lo habréis visto ya en alguno de mis post. Pero es que es este otoño, verano o lo que estemos viviendo es una prenda básica.
