LA OTRA NAVIDAD

Hoy es viernes de KIDS. A estas alturas imagino que hay un vídeo que habréis visto ya 1000 veces, sí, ese el de «la otra navidad» de IKEA, y por si alguien no lo ha visto aún ahí os lo dejo.

Yo cada vez que lo veo no puedo dejar de emocionarme. Como mamá alguna vez he cometido el error de atender lo urgente dejando lo importante de lado. Me explico, cuantas veces las madres o padres habeís oído eso de …

– mamá, jugamos a…? hacemos un dibujo? …

– espera cariño que la mamá tiene que…, está terminando la…

En fin, mil cosas urgentes (o eso creemos) que nos hacen desatender lo realmente importante, nuestros niños.

Y volviendo al contenido del video, otro error de padres muy común (sí, me incluyo) es la frase:

– ¡con la cantidad de juguetes que tienes!

Pues sí, quizás harían falta menos juguetes y mas sentarnos con ellos o mejor tirarnos por el suelo a jugar a los trenes, coches, inventar historias de dragones, princesas y caballeros… fomentar esa imaginación que todos tenemos pero que yo echo tanto en falta en la sociedad de hoy. Seria mejor dejar salir a ese niño que todos llevamos dentro y divertirnos, y os aseguro que todos lo llevamos dentro, aunque haya personas que piensen que no.

Me parece muy bien que este mensaje llegue en navidad, es una época mágica, pero ¿no debería ser todo el año una época mágica?

Aún estamos a tiempo de cambiar algunas cosas, y es que la vida está hecha de pequeños grandes momentos, y la familia es un lugar fantástico para vivirlos.

Returning to the content of the video, another very common error parents (yes, including me) is the phrase:

– With the amount of toys that you have!

Yes, perhaps we would need fewer toys and more sit with them or better throw ourselves on the floor to play trains, cars, inventing stories of dragons, princesses and knights … foster the imagination we all have but I miss both missing in today’s society. It would be better to leave out that child in all of us and have fun, and I assure you that we all have inside, but there are people who think not.
I think it’s great that this message reaches at Christmas is a magical time, but should not it be the whole year a magical time?
We still have time to change some things, is that life is made of small great moments, and family is a great place to live them.
